Panaghia of Konomos church (Dormition of the Virgin Mary) is one of the eight churches that are considered to be monuments of particular architectural value and are protected by the Ministry of Culture.
It was built in the 17th Century and is found in the Western part of the Castle.
A one-aisled church with a dome, it has a beautiful iconostasis with written decorations. The temple, also, has Icons of Cretan craftsmanship.
In the grounds, there is a vaulted grave, where the founding priests of the church have been put to rest.
